Having entered the cosmetics sphere in 2007with facial skin care brand Astalift, Fujifilm is hoping to grow its health and beauty portfolio substantially in the coming years, according to a report published by the Straits Times.

Indeed, the company’s Chairman and CEO, Shigetaka Komori revealed in an interview with the Straits Times that the division is one of the company’s fastest growing. Some ¥500 billion has been earmarked for acquisitions in the next three years, and health and beauty is expected to be a key focus.

“We are a newcomer in the cosmetics field, so it’s not easy for us to catch up. The journey to capture women’s hearts is far from over,” said Komori.
