Garnier drafts in Mandy Moore to front Rinse, Recycle, Repeat campaign

Some 50 percent of Americans send packaging from beauty and personal care products to landfill, according to Garnier. The L’Oréal-owned beauty brand has therefore partnered with TerraCycle and DoSomething.org to launch its second annual Rinse, Recycle, Repeat campaign.

The initiative aims to educate young consumers on responsible recycling and divert beauty empties from landfills. Once collected, TerraCycle will convert the packaging into pelletized lumber, creating materials to build play and leisure equipment for Garnier Green Gardens.

Brand ambassador Mandy Moore has been named as the face of the campaign, starring in a public service announcement. The ultimate goal is to recycle 1 million empties over the course of 2018.
