THE WHAT? Geka has been awarded a Platinum grade by prestigious business sustainability rating provider EcoVadis, placing the brush manufacturer among the top 1 percent of companies assessed worldwide.
THE DETAILS The performance ranking is based on the 21 criteria defined by EcoVadis over four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices. Geka implemented new processes and guidelines in order to continue reducing its environmental footprint and its overall score reflected its consistent transparency across operations and traceability along the supply chain to boot.
The company recently committed to Science-based target initiatives too, as part of its sustainability journey.
THE WHY? Geka CEO, Florent Lafond explains, “By committing to this global initiative, we increase our focus on low-carbon growth for the future. By setting ambitious goals, we can adapt to the changing regulatory and business environment. We thereby ensure our company’s sustainability and signal to our customers that we can be a strong partner for them in the long term.”
