Givaudan appoints new Director for Perfumery School

Givaudan has appointed Calice Becker Director of its Perfumery School, which celebrated its 70th anniversary last year.

Becker will lead the training of future perfumery talent, supported by Alain Alchenburger. She will also continue to create fragrances for select customers.

Becker joined Givaudan some 10 years ago as VP Perfumer. Over the course of her career, she has created world renowned fragrances, including Dior J’Adore (LVMH), Tommy Hilfiger’s Tommy Girl (Estée Lauder), Marc Jacob’s Lola (Coty) and the majority of the By Kilian collection (now Estée Lauder).

“Calice is an exceptional perfumer and will be a great mentor for our students. Having her leading the Perfumery School will give us the capacity and flexibility to fulfil the three missions of the Perfumery School: develop Givaudan’s future perfumery talent; train our internal staff; and train our customers,” commented Maurizio Volpi, President Fragrance Division.
