Givaudan has announced the appointment of two new members to its executive committee. Chris Thoen has been named Head of Global Science and Technology, while Willem Mutsaerts will take up the role of Head of Global Procurement. Both appointments are effective immediately.

In his new role, Thoen is charged with setting the company’s long-term innovation strategy, leveraging internal and external capabilities across the company’s flavors and frgarances divisions and expanding the network of strategic partners to establish a culture of open innovation.
Mutsaerts, meanwhile, will develop innovative sourcing strategies leveraging novel sources such as biotransformation as well as fostering partnerships with suppliers, further enhancing Givaudan’s responsible sourcing program and securing the long-term supply of critical raw materials.
