Givaudan has laid the foundations for a new CHF55 million manufacturing plant in Ranjangaon near Pune. The facility is expected to go live in early 2018, will create 100 jobs and is the company’s largest investment in India since 1998.
The new plant will boost the Swiss flavors and fragrances manufacturer’s capabilities in liquid compounding, powder blending, emulsions, process flavors and spray dying in India, complementing Givaudan’s current operation in Daman.
“This major investment reflects India’s importance to Givaudan, and our overall 2020 strategy of investment in high growth markets. It shows our commitment to continue to collaborate closely with customers in Asia Pacific and provide differentiated solutions for local market needs,” said Givaudan CEO Gilles Andrier.
