Givenchy appoints Dior Americas head as new President and CEO

THE WHAT? LVMH-owned Givenchy has announced the appointment of Renaud de Lesquen as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st April, according to a report by WWD.com.

THE DETAILS de Lesquen will be joining the team from his position as President and CEO of Dior Americas and will succeed Philippe Fortunato.

Taking to an internal memo, Fortunato stated he was leaving his role in order to “pursue a personal project.”

de Lesquen brings with him a wealth of industry experience, having previously held positions with L’Oréal Paris, YSL Beauté and as Global President of Giorgio Armani Beauty. 

THE WHY? The new appointment signals a new era of change for Givenchy, with Sidney Toledano, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group, saying of de Lesquen, “I had the opportunity to work very closely with him at Dior Couture and I am convinced that this appointment will lead the maison to further growth and success.”
