Direct sales giant Avon has hired Good Relations as the agency to handle its brand communications in the region. Beauty SEEN will continue as the company’s UK beauty PR agency.
The PR and content agency, part of the VCCP partnership, won out in a three-way pitch, and will work in partnership with Avon’s inhouse PR team. Good Relations is said to have been hired to complement Avon’s desire for creative, bold communications, with its specialist social content, influencer marketing and broadcast PR teams set to be utilized to help drive the direct sales company’s vision.
Good Relations will help to challenge brand perceptions, as well as work on the company’s breast cancer awareness and domestic violence causes. Likewise, it will work on the launch of an integrated campaign to mark the company’s 60th anniversary.
David Wiles, Good Relations Executive Director, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Avon in such a significant year for the brand. Avon is a brand with a huge amount of heritage and there are so many great stories to tell which provide a fantastic opportunity for PR. We’re looking forward to working closely with the internal team to help them drive brand reappraisal, reach new audiences and promote the amazing causes the company supports.”
