Grupo Boticário gains Leaping Bunny certification for its entire portfolio

Brazilian cosmetics, fragrance and skin care company Grupo Boticário has gained Leaping Bunny certification for all its beauty brands. The group owns six of the biggest brands in Brazil, including O Boticário, which is the largest cosmetics franchise in the world with 4,000 stores globally.

“We are thrilled to welcome the amazing Grupo Boticário to the Leaping Bunny family. Becoming Leaping Bunny approved is a challenging process that involves a company working through its entire supply chain right down to ingredient and raw material level,” said Michelle Thew, CEO of Cruelty Free International. “For a company this size, this is a huge undertaking and shows just how serious Grupo Boticário is about being cruelty free and ending the suffering of animals for cosmetics. With the world’s largest cosmetics franchise, Grupo Boticário demonstrates that it is possible to be global and innovative without cosmetics tests on animals.”
