AmorePacific Chairman Suh Kyung-bae has been ranked 20th globally, and second in Asia in an annual list of the 100-best performing CEOs compiled by Harvard Business Review and INSEAD, according to a report published by the Korea Herald.
During his 20-year reign, Suh has seen sales grow 10-fold to reach KRW6.7 trillion, while operating profit has soared to KRW1.08 trillion, twenty times greater than when he accepted the role.
At number 20, Suh has beaten Estée Lauder Companies President, Fabrizio Freda (ranked 25), Unilever’s top dog Paul Polman (82), and L’Oréal Chief Jean-Paul Agon (87). Indeed, of the cosmetics and personal care greats, only LVMH’s Bernard Arnault made the top 10, ranked 5th.
