The Vice President and Executive Director, Personal Care at Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Samir Singh, has been promoted to a global role for parent company Unilever, according to a report published by DNA India.
Singh will take on the role of Global Executive Vice President, Skin Cleansing at Unilever. Sandeep Kohli, currently Vice President, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos will replace Singh at Hindustan Unilever.
“The new appointments reflect the company’s commitment towards leadership development and our tradition of leveraging talent across markets,” commented HUL CEO and MD Sanjiv Mehta. “This also emphasises the importance of HUL and of India for Unilever.”
Singh joined HUL in 1997 and has worked across several brands including Vaseline, Ponds and Fair & Lovely. Under his leadership, HUL’s Personal Care businesses became one of the fastest growing in India and consolidated its position as market leader.
