Henkel debuts world’s lightest three-piece steel aerosol

Henkel has unveiled a three-piece steel aerosol said to be the world’s lightest, according to a report published by Greener Package.

The can, which was developed collaboratively with Ardagh Group for Henkel’s Schwarzkopf Drei Wetter Taft, boasts a wall thickness of just 0.13mm, saving 15 percent in materials and water used in production.

“Together with our suppliers, Henkel is working on innovative solutions that contribute to product recycling and the principles of the circular economy,” Henkel Beauty Care Innovation and Sustainability Manager, Philippe Blank told Greener Package. “Closing the circle is a joint effort of many parties involved in this ecosystem. Innovation does not happen in isolation, and therefore, Henkel is going to work even more closely with our suppliers to further develop sustainable packaging that makes a significant contribution to the focal areas of our sustainability strategy.”
