THE WHAT? Henkel has joined the LGBTQ+ business advisory Out Leadership as it looks to evolve its diversity and inclusivity agenda.
THE DETAILS Out Leadership is the largest coalition of global companies working to improve LGBTQ+ equality worldwide, and partners with influential companies to build business opportunities.
As well as joining the coalition, Henkel has recently established a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, created a Supplier Diversity Program, and developed scholarship and internship programs.
THE WHY? By joining the coalition Henkel is expanding its work on cultivating a workplace of diversity and inclusion, which, according to Out Leadership, is, “closely aligned with Out Leadership’s mission to use the power of business to advance LGBTQ+ equality.”
Frank Steinert, Head of Human Resources at Henkel North America, said, “At Henkel, we are always striving to build a more inclusive environment where everyone feels like they belong and are empowered to come to work each day as their true selves.
“This means providing employees with access to resources to further their understanding of DE&I issues, like allyship for the LGBTQ+ community. Our membership with Out Leadership enables us to do this as well as strengthen our overall commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.”
