THE DETAILS The regulator is concerned after discovering a significant number of CBD-based products contained traces of THC. Retailers, however, are up in arms, claiming that where products have undergone laboratory testing and verified as safe for use, they should be cleared for sale.
THE WHY? Wellness products have gained in popularity in the city but regulators remain concerned after recent studies disclosed that CBD decomposes to THC after a set period, even under normal storage conditions.
