Fragrance manufacturer Iberchem has received MUI halal fragrance certification for its Indonesian factory, receiving the A status – the highest grade achievable.

The development will allow the company to bring halal certified products to consumers in a market where halal products are on the up in the Muslim-majority country.

In order to achieve the halal-certified status the company underwent an intensive audit undertaken by Indonesian Ulema Council (Majelis Ulama Indonesia – MUI), with the A status highlighting that Iberchem’s ‘materials, production process (from the purchasing of raw materials to the distribution of the fragrances) and the Halal Assurance System comply with the standard of LPPOM – MUI.’

Didier Parizot, General Manager of Iberchem Indonesia, said, “This announcement is in line with Iberchem’s ongoing commitment to offering fragrances responding to local requirements.
“The global demand for halal-certified fragrances is constantly growing. Iberchem was already offering halal fragrances to its customers but now we are glad to respond to this demand with grade “A” MUI certified halal fragrances”.
