THE WHAT? The Irish Spa Association has called on the government to help salons and spas source adequate PPE should the date for reopening be bought forward, according to a report published by The Times.
THE DETAILS The country has accelerated the re-opening of several non-essential shops and business in phase two and a further fast-tracking of the easing of restrictions looks likely with a review due later this week.
However, while the ISA is in favor of an earlier return to work, it has cautioned that it will need adequate time to prepare in order to keep staff and clients safe.
THE WHY? The industry association is concerned that, should measures be eased for hairdressers and wellbeing centers earlier than expected, reopening would be hampered by the wider shortage of PPE.
