L Brands CEO on ‘overpaid list’ despite Victoria’s Secret ailing sales

Lex Wexner, CEO of L Brands, has topped a list of the most overpaid CEOs, despite waning sales of its brand Victoria’s Secrets. 

The report by nonprofit watchdog As You Sow highlights the 100 most overpaid CEOs in America, with the L Brands CEO earning $27.2 million and coming in at number 27, despite the Victoria’s Secrets brand taking a 10 percent sales dive last month.

Other cosmetics and personal care CEOs featured on the list include Larry J Merlo of CVS Health Corporation, coming in at number 10, Ralph Lauren at number 23, Mary N. Dillon of Ulta Salon Cosmetics and Fragrance Inc at number 36 and Andrew Liveris of The Dow Chemical Company at 59.

C. Douglas McMillion of Walmart also featured on the list at number 71.
