THE WHAT? Jefree Star has promised to refund customers who purchased a ‘make-up mystery box’ after he received a barrage of complaints over the paltry contents, according to a report published by The Independent.

THE DETAILS The Mini Mystery box, RRP US$20 was billed as containing an ‘exclusive cosmetic item’ plus two further products, with a value of US$40, the newspaper reported but those who took advantage of the deal were disappointed to discover that one of those products was a sheet of stickers.

THE WHY? Fearing a charge of false advertising, the brand has chosen to refund customers, as well as honor the orders.

“We here at Jefree Star Cosmetics made the decision to make the refund as well as still send the Mini Mystery Box to everyone due to our miscommunication regarding the contents,” reads an email sent out to shoppers, per The Independent.
