Johnson & Johnson joins online sustainability platform Manufacture 2030

Johnson & Johnson is joining forces with other big FMCG brands and retailers via a new online platform which aims to provide unprecedented co-operation on sustainability, according to a report published by The Grocer.

Manufacture 2030, the brainchild of 2degrees, hopes to encourage companies to share information on energy and water use and waste disposal, in order to reduce supply chain costs and minimise the environmental impact of their activities.

“With our 2020 Citizenship & Sustainability Goals, Johnson & Johnson is committed to going further than ever to integrate sustainability into our day-to-day work, thus reducing our impact on the Earth,” said Kevin Whitehead, Senior Director Strategy & Deployment Global Consumer Manufacturing at Johnson & Johnson. “Through collaboration and best practice sharing in platforms such as Manufacture 2030, we believe we can drive positive and innovative change more effectively across our operations and supply chain.”
