K-beauty retailer Olive Young has launched a global e-commerce platform in a bid to expand its reach and raise awareness of K-beauty products worldwide, according to a report published by the Korea Herald.
The online mall will allow overseas shoppers in 150 countries to purchase products, starting with the US, and is billed as the first global shopping site to be launched by a South Korean beauty store. Shipping will be free for orders over US$50. The site will initially launch in English, with Chinese, Japanese and Spanish versions to follow.
“Famous beauty and cosmetics shops in the US have already set up K-beauty sections, amid increasing demand especially from millennial customers. Good product quality, reasonable prices and unique concepts make Korean cosmetics stand out,” the retailer told the Korea Herald.
