Kanebo has launched a line of cosmetics aimed specifically at the Southeast Asian market, according to a report published by Nikkei.
The Kao-owned brand has ushered in a range of foundation and eyeliner under its Kate banner, and will follow up the initial launch with lipstick and eyeshadow. The products are designed to cater to the local market’s specific needs, with additional staying power to suit the hot, humid climate.
The products will be sold in six countries throughout the region, including Thailand and Singapore, and prices are pitched at around 30 to 40 percent lower than Kanebo’s standard.
