THE WHAT? Japanese cosmetics company Kao has launched its leading sunscreen brand Bioré into the Indian market.
THE DETAILS Distributed in partnership with retailer Nykaa, Bioré is said to be a frontrunner in the Japanese market with Kao launching the brand online across the pan-Indian market.
Kao is pushing Bioré’s ‘made-in-Japan’ marketing angle to promote it to the Indian consumer, with the brand said to be ‘deeply inspired by its Japanese roots.’
THE WHY? The company hopes meet the growing demands of Indian consumers with the Bioré launch, who are said to be seeking efficacious and innovative skincare.
Kao is also looking to educate Indian consumers on the importance of UV protection with the UV-range.
