Kao Corporation saw its stock climb 0.8 percent to ¥5,868 following the announcement of its third-quarter results for the nine months ending September 30. Net sales rose 5.5 percent versus the same period in 2014, reaching ¥1.06 trillion.
Net income for the period soared 34.6 percent to ¥68.20 billion, while earnings per share climbed from ¥99.12 to ¥136.04. The company predicted an increase of 4.9 percent in net sales for fiscal 2015, to ¥1.47 trillion, with net income surging 14.3 percent to ¥91 billion.
Kose Corporation was also on a high, with shares jumping 4.3 percent to ¥11,840 as it raised its net sales forecast for the first half of the fiscal year (ended September) to ¥115.4 billion, a rise of 4 percent, versus its earlier guidance of ¥111 billion.
