Fast food restaurant KFC Japan has dipped its toe in the personal care market once again with launch of a wacky fried chicken bath bomb, only available as part of a competition running until 15 November.
With the competition running throughout Japan, the company teamed up with Japanese company Village Vanguard to make the bath product, which not only looks like fried chicken, but also has the aroma of the fast food.
And while some have heralded the innovation, other social media users have found the notion unsavoury, with one writing ‘The thought of KFC’s fried chicken bath bomb makes me feel sick.’
Unable to purchase in stores, the company will instead be choosing 100 people to receive the product, with consumers simply having to retweet a post from KFC to enter the competition.
It is not the first time KFC has turned its hand to beauty products, having previously launched fried chicken sunscreen, candles and a lip balm.
