THE WHAT? KFC Spain has created a promotional campaign centred around the launch of a fragrance. The scent’s name, Eau D’uardo, was inspired by a viral meme created by the fast food outlet’s marketing team in 2021.
THE DETAILS The packaging, too, recalls that campaign with a flacon modelled on a chicken drumstick, while the juice itself emulates the Colonel’s notorious secret spice blend. The limited run of 25,000 units will be sold via the chain’s app or restaurants in Spain.
THE WHY? KFC has now made several forays into the cosmetics world and this latest launch suggests its clearly a strategy that’s working for them.
