Kiehl’s Brand President Salgardo reduces role in company

Chris Salgardo, Brand President at Kiehl’s Since 1851, is said to be reducing his role in the company and scaling back his position, according to a report by WWD.com. 

Salgardo has been with the L’Oréal-owned brand for more than a decade and is said to be continuing with the company as a Brand Ambassador. 

According to Xavier Vey, President and Chief Operating Officer of L’Oréal Luxe, Salgardo will be working on, ‘charitable initiatives, diversity and inclusion projects and other community events.’

Salgardo will be succeeded in his role by Megan Grant, who previously worked for Kiehl’s from 2009 until 2014, when she left to work for The Body Shop as General Manager. 

Vey said of the appointment, “Megan brings a unique combination of skills to this position with nearly 20 years of experience in the beauty industry and an impressive track record in brand building. Megan’s leadership, foresight, and passion will be instrumental to driving business growth, while maintaining true to the brand’s heritage.
“Megan returns to Kiehl’s with a clear vision of putting the customer experience first and emphasizing Kiehl’s expertise in skin care, service, nature and science.”
