Kiehl’s debuts e-commerce site for Romanian market

L’Oréal-owned Kiehl’s has become the French-beauty giant’s first brand to launch a dedicated e-commerce site for the Romanian market, according to a report published by Romania Insider.

The opening of the online shop is said to be a milestone in L’Oréal’s digital strategy to expand its local e-commerce offer. The company has relied on partner sites for the past five years in Romania.

E-commerce penetration is still relatively low in Romania, representing 5.6 percent of retail sales, per Romania Insider – however, cosmetics tracks above the market average with 7.9 percent of transactions completed online, the publication revealed, attributing the statistics to L’Oréal.
