Kim Kardashian West has been hit with a law suit from organic beauty brand Kjaer Weis over her new KKW Beauty product range, regarding the brand’s logo design.
Kjaer Weis owner Kirsten Kjaer Weis has stated similarities between the brand’s logo and the branding on the KKW Beauty packaging.
Having been around for 10 years, Weis has stated in court documents, obtained by TMZ, that the logos are confusingly similar and hindering her company’s success – a statement that the Kardashian team is said to refute.
Speaking to Refinery29, Weis said, “This is about protecting our reputation and our business. We have worked hard over many years to establish our brand identity and our unique market position.”
As part of the lawsuit Weis is requesting Kardashian West cease use of the initials and that she be awarded payment for profit and additional damages.
