Kimberly-Clark appoints new Group President to lead North American consumer business

Former Vice President and GM of baby care at Procter & Gamble, Larry P Allgaier has been named Group President for Kimberly-Clark’s North American Consumer unit, effective April 24.

Allgaier is charged with leading Kimberly-Clark’s US$8 billion North American consumer business, which spans well-known brands such as Huggies, Cottonelle and Depend.

“Larry is an outstanding leader with a passion for the consumer products industry. As the leader of our North American consumer business, he will drive strong performance and long-term shareholder value, as we lead the world in essentials for a better life,” said Mike Hsu, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Larry’s strong track record for delivering sustainable, profitable growth and championing innovation will enable him to effectively lead the largest business unit in Kimberly-Clark’s portfolio.”

Allgaier joins Kimberly-Clark from Mars, where he held numerous senior leadership roles, most recently President of the Mars Petcare Veterinary Health Group. He began his career at Kimberly-Clark rival Procter & Gamble, where he held the role of Vice President and GM of the North American baby care business, among others.
