The Korean State Council is said to have approved a new Cosmetic Act that will allow beauty producers to repackage and sell customised imported products, a movement which is now awaiting approval from the National Assembly.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) the Cosmetic Act amendment will now allow companies to create different cosmetic products, which are referred to as products that are created by adding other ingredients to imported products.
As part of the amendment these items can be resold as new items following the adjustment of the quantity, with sales required at a lower cost.
