Japanese cosmetics company Kose has responded to growing consumer demand for its skin care line Sekksei and has given it more prominent shelf space in Japan and in global markets.
The new dedicated areas will be located within department stores in Osaka, Tokyo and Fukuoka by April, while plans are afoot for a location to be added in the Duty Free space in Hawaii.
The move follows growth in sales of the herbal skin care range from foreign tourists visiting Japan, which has been the catalyst for the brand rollout. Indeed, Kose is set to be eyeing department store locations in China, Singapore and Malaysia over the coming few years, growing the brand availability to seven countries by 2019.
Predicted sales for the brand is 60 billion yen by 2020, doubling its current annual sales.
