L’Occitane has released a trading update for the six months ending September 30, 2017, revealing phenomenal growth in China. Worldwide, the natural cosmetics group saw net sales rise 1.1 percent (2.3 percent like-for-like) to €548.2 million.
China and Brazil were the group’s fastest growing markets, with local currency sales soaring 22.7 percent and 13.2 percent respectively. In China, same-store sales were up 15.8 percent, with sales via the T-mall platform growing into the triple digits.
