L’Oréal has named the Barbarian agency its global creative agency of record for the Essie brand following a review.
The agency, which is part of Cheil Worldwide, will work across the board on the Essie brand, focusing on digital innovation, brand and business strategy, and advertising and will be led by Executive Creative Director Leo Leone.
The review was launched by Essie in November 2017, with CEO Cathy Butler telling Adweek that it was seeking an agency focused on digital innovation to evolve the Essie brand for the future.
According to Essie Global General Manager, Carolyn Holba, “Barbarian made us dream and imagine entirely new possibilities for our brand. They are the perfect partner to take us into the future.”
