L’Oréal Paris continues diversity drive; announces model Maria Borges as newest face

L’Oréal Paris has added Victoria’s Secret model Maria Borges as its latest face for the brand, according to a report published by Glamour magazine.

The model made history as the first to wear her natural short hair on a Victoria’s Secret runway in 2015. She now joins Eva Longoria, Karlie Kloss and Susan Sarandon as a representative of the French beauty giant’s flagship make-up brand.

“I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started at the bottom can be an international beauty symbol and be living proof that our dreams and valid and the future ahead of us is bright,” said Angolan-born Borges in a statement released to WWD.
