L’Oréal Paris has announced the inaugural Canadian Women of Worth program, which recognises women who ‘find beauty in giving back’.
The French beauty brand is encouraging the public to nominate exceptional Canadian women volunteers over the next two months on its dedicated microsite womenofworth.ca. Nominations close on November 28.
“In bringing Women of Worth to Canada, L’Oréal Paris will empower 10 of the country’s most innovative volunteer champions to heighten the impact of their philanthropic work while shining a well-deserved spotlight on her work, her cause and her altruism,” said Stephanie Binette, General Manager, L’Oréal Paris in Canada. “I am awestruck by the untold stories of selfless Canadian women volunteers driving change for so many people in need. Their passion and innovation are virtues at the heart of the L’Oréal Paris brand, and we will be honoured to officially support and salute them as Women of Worth.”
The Women of Worth has run in the US for the last 10 years, with L’Oreal Paris honouring over 100 women in that time.
Canadian Honourees will be provided with a total US$110,000 in grants to support their organization as well as benefiting from a platform, marketing support and tools and training to promote their cause.
“Women of Worth aren’t afraid to take matters in their own hands, make a difference and make real change happen,” said Naomi Watts, L’Oréal Paris spokesperson and award-winning actress today during the launch event held in Toronto. “If you know a woman fearlessly pursuing her passion to bring about change in Canada, I hope you will take the time to acknowledge her impact, and nominate her as a Woman of Worth.”
