L’Oréal USA has announced that it has agreed to acquire key assets from Raylon Corporation, a wholesale distributor based in Pennsylvania.
The acquisition will expand L’Oréal’s distribution unit, SalonCentric – created in 2008 – granting greater coverage in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia and New York. Some 13 stores and various field positions servicing some 3,500 salons are included in the transaction.
“We are excited to expand SalonCentric and the brands we distribute into this key territory and to share the SalonCentric experience with a new community of beauty professionals,” Bertrand Fontaine, President of SalonCentric told Salon Today. “By increasing SalonCentric’s footprint we will be able to build relationships with beauty professionals in the Northeast and provide them with the brands, tools, education and support to help them grow their salon businesses.”
Select brands will continue to be distributed by Raylon owners, Howard and Josh Hafetz, under the new name Art of Business in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York.
