La Perla to relaunch into beauty space

THE WHAT? La Perla is set to relaunch its beauty line, according to a report published by WWD. The Italian lingerie brand called time on its licensing deal with Revlon last year, having launched its own beauty subsidiary in 2019 and the fruits of its labor are poised to hit shelves this summer.

THE DETAILS The range comprises fragrance, a vegan prebiotic body care trio and color cosmetics collection, set to debut next month.

Products are designed to be refillable and boast sustainable packaging – the range has been awarded the Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark, PETA membership and an EcoVadis Bronze Medal.  

THE WHY? Peter Shaefer, CEO of La Perla Beauty, told WWD, “Now is a fantastic time to launch. The market is looking for something new and innovative. Also it reflects a major shift within the mother brand itself, as it becomes contemporary and reaches out to a greater audience.”
