Lady in red: Bespoke lipstick bar opens in New York

Stephanie March, one half of the duo behind New York salon Rouge, has opened up a custom make-up bar in Soho, according to a report published by Vogue.

Shoppers at SheSpoke, as the new bespoke beauty bar is known, can either commission a copy of their favorite discontinued lip color, or create a shade from scratch. Lipsticks can also be customised with finishes such as shimmer or flavoured oils.

The studio, as the space is known, contains multiple bespoke stations which can accommodate individual customers or groups. There’re also vanities where make-up artists are on hand for expert application and services on offer include house calls, tutorials and even a personalized consultation.

The bar was set up after the demand for the custom station at Rouge skyrocketed. “People were really using that service to the point that we couldn’t accommodate them,” March told Vogue.
