French luxury cosmetics brand Lancôme has been owned by L’Oréal since 1964. Lancôme operates globally in high end retail outlets and has a range of fragrance, skin care and make-up products. The brand is well known for its Hypnôse mascara and is said to be one of the top advertisers in the luxury beauty arena.

An industry staple, Lancôme was credited for helping the L’Oréal Luxe division post dynamic growth in fiscal 2018. Continuing to launch new products to market, Lancôme notably pushed forward in Asia over the past few years with the launch of a pop-up store in Kuala Lumpar to celebrate Chinese New Year, as well as a collaboration with Alibaba Cloud to launch an AR game for the same event. Of course, this was no coincidence, with L’Oréal placing emphasis on China as a strong growth region for the company.
