THE WHAT? LG Household & Health Care has appointed Lee Sun-joo, a seasoned beauty executive with over 30 years of industry experience, as its new CEO.

THE DETAILS Lee built much of her career at L’Oréal, where she led Yves Saint Laurent and Kiehl’s in Korea before heading the group’s mass market division. Under her leadership, Korea became Kiehl’s second-largest global market, and she helped double the brand’s global sales. Beyond L’Oréal, she oversaw Mediheal’s U.S. market entry and later served as CEO of Unilever-owned Carver Korea, where she worked to strengthen AHC’s positioning. Her official appointment is expected to follow shareholder and board approval on November 10.

THE WHY? The leadership change reflects LG H&H’s focus on revitalizing its cosmetics division and leveraging Lee’s global and local expertise to drive brand growth in a highly competitive beauty market.
