LG Household & Healthcare Q2: Double digit growth in sharp contrast to rival AmorePacific

LG Household & Healthcare has reported its results for the second quarter of the financial year and its double-digit rise in both sales and profit is in stark contrast to AmorePacific’s subdued performance, as reported on this platform yesterday.

Indeed, according to a report published by The Investor, LG H&H’s sales were up 10.9 percent to KRW1.83 trillion, and operating profit rose 12.8 percent to KRW301 billion in the second quarter, contributing to a record high in the first half for both parameters.

LG H&H attributed its success to the growth of its luxury brands in China – the K-beauty behemoth has been scaling back its mass offer in the Chinese market while investing in its prestige lines, Whoo, Su:m and O’hui.
