Li & Fung is said to be planning to offload its consumer and health care distribution business, LF Asia, as part of a strategy to refocus resources on supply chain management, according to a report published by Nikkei.
Analysts have pegged the value of the business at HK$400million, and documents submitted to the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing suggest that the trading company has opened negotiations with a third party.
LF Asia operates more than 40 branches and logistics centers in China and Southeast Asia, suppliying over 30,000 stores and health care institutions.
