THE WHAT? L’Occitane has announced the launch of its social selling platform, MyL’Occitane. The company said that its goal is to empower its eco-conscious community by providing them with the opportunity to start their own entrepreneurial journey.
THE DETAILS Budding consultants can enroll via the platform’s website and, once they join, they woll be provided with the tools and training necessary to create a MyL’Occitane business.
THE WHY? Having reduced its US store count following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the social selling model will allow the brand to reach shoppers without the costs of a bricks and mortar location. Yann Tanini, Managing Director (North America) at L’Occitane explains, “We are building our team of new L’Occi Consultants by providing beauty enthusiasts around the country, including our talented past retail store employees, the opportunity to join us on this exciting journey. With MyL’Occitane, we are leveraging both the high-touch power of passionate beauty entrepreneurs and the connecting power of technology to build sustainable one-on-one relationships with new customers who we are not currently connecting with through our existing channels. “
