The US’ oldest department store Lord & Taylor is set to host its first Charity Day in 2016 this weekend, in aid of Look Good Feel Better.
All 50 of Lord & Taylor’s stores will participate in the all-day shopping event, themed around a ‘new year, new you’ concept, in order to raise funds for the campaign. Activities will include a 30-minute fitness class, eyebrow threading, denim customization, bra fittings and more.
Customers will receive two 30 percent off coupons, redeemable against single items, as well as one 20 percent off storewide pass (10 percent off cosmetics and fragrances) for use on the day with the purchase of a US$5 ticket. Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the Personal Care Products Council Foundation to benefit Look Good Feel Better and Lord & Taylor will donate 1 percent of all proceeds (up to a maximum of US$15,000) received on January 16 to the cause.
“Lord & Taylor is proud to kick off 2016 with an initiative that will benefit Look Good Feel Better, an important program that motivates women who are battling cancer,” said Liz Rodbell, President, Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor. “We are honored to be able to support their mission through this Charity Day.
