THE WHAT? L’Oréal Paris is set to return to a live show format during Paris Fashion Week, following a year’s hiatus due to COVID-19.
THE DETAILS The beauty brand, which is an official partner of Paris Fashion Week, will put on the Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris, on 3rd October, 2021, which will be staged at the Parvis des Droits de L’Homme.
The occasion will mark the brand’s 50th birthday of its catchphrase Because You’re Worth It, with the display set to have a theme of women’s empowerment and diversity to mirror the slogan.
Many of the brand’s spokespeople, such as Camila Cabello, Helen Mirren and Marie Bochet, will take part in the event.
THE WHY? While L’Oréal Paris may be returning to the live stage, it is continuing with the revered digital format of 2020, with the company broadcasting the event to 30 countries globally via its social media channels.
Taking to a statement, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President, said, “This year’s ‘Le Défilé’ will be a remarkable platform for women’s empowerment, conveying a strong message of self-worth and disrupting the conventions of typical runway shows by inviting the public to join the Stand Up Against Street Harassment program. Celebrating our feminine and feminist vision, the show will be a rallying cry for all women — and also men — who share these convictions.”
