L’Oréal China has announced that it will team up with Tmall’s Innovation Center to create a male beauty line for the Chinese market.
The Alibaba Group-owned unit will leverage insights from the online shopping platform’s 600 million users to help the French beauty giant to create products tailored to Chinese shoppers’ needs.
Sales of make beauty products grew 59 percent and 54 percent in fiscal 2017 and fiscal 2018 respectively, according to a white paper released by TMIC and the L’Oréal China Consumer Intelligence division.
