L’Oréal unveils solidarity plan for Ukraine; donates €1 million to support refugees

THE WHAT? L’Oréal has published a solidarity plan for Ukraine following the Russian invasion. The French beauty giant reports that it is in constant touch with its 326 Ukrainian employees, all of whom are safe at present.

THE DETAILS The Garnier manufacturer has implemented a consolidated humanitarian action plan, with local and international NGOs to support the growing number of refugees and is making an immediate donation of €1 million through its L’Oréal Fund for Women.

The French beauty giant said that its first truck delivering hygiene products to incoming refugees departed today and it aims to donate 300,000 products over the coming weeks.

THE WHY? L’Oréal said that it was deeply shocked by the images of war it sees from Ukraine and hopes for a peaceful end to the conflict.
