L’Oréal USA creates new senior role for professional division

THE WHAT? L’Oréal USA has announced the appointment of Leslie Marino to the newly created role of President, Professional Products Division American Brands, according to a report published by Salon Today.

THE DETAILS Marino’s appointment follows the departure of Antonio Martinez-Rumbo, President, Professional Products Division Brands, who is transferring to a new position at L’Oréal Europe.

Marino has held the role of General Manager of Redken & Pureology for the last seven years. Candy Gebhart will take over as General Manager of Redken US, while Teresa Lopez, GM of Mizani and L’Oréal technique, will have Pureology added to her portfolio.

The Matrix and Biolage brands will transition into separate brands, with the former led by Carrington Cole as Senior Vice President, and the latter by Mounia Tahiri, also as SVP.

THE WHY? During her tenure as GM of Redken & Pureology, Marino delivered ‘extraordinary growth’ and as David Greenberg, Group President, North America, explained, “Leslie’s passion for education, retail, her customers and employees has been exemplary for Redken, she has truly set the bar high and we’re excited for the future of our brands with Leslie at the helm.
