THE WHAT? L’Oréal USA has announced the appointment of Rahquel Purcell to Senior Vice President, Head of Operations, North America to lead the company’s operations division in the region, effective December 1, 2020.
THE DETAILS Purcell joined L’Oréal USA in 2016 after a 23-year career in Supply Chain and Purchases at P&G. In 2017 she was promoted to SVP, Supply Chain North America, joining the US Management Committee.
Purcell replaces Xavier Windal, who served as Head of Operations Americas for more than seven years. Windal will return to his native France to a role yet to be announced.
THE WHY? Purcell has played an integral role in the evolution of the operations division, as Stephane Rinderknech, CEO of L’Oréal USA and Executive Vice President North America explains, “During her tenure, Rahquel has elevated the Supply Chain function in our North America organization and has been instrumental in the transformation and modernization of our Operations model. Rahquel is a strategic thinker and natural leader, and we are thrilled to welcome her into this new role where she will continue to innovate and raise the bar for the company’s operational excellence.”
