THE WHAT? L’Oréal has announced the appointment of Myriam Cohen-Welgryn as President of its Active Cosmetics division.
THE DETAILS Cohen-Welgryn succeeds Brigitte Liberman who is due to retire at the end of the year after 15 years in the role and 34 years with the French cosmetics giant.
Cohen-Welgryn joins L’Oréal from Mars where she held the role of Regional President of Pet Nutrition Europe.

THE WHY? The French beauty giant said that Cohen-Welgryn’s strong track record in accelerating the growth and profitability of the business she managed as well as her experience in FMCG were among the attributes that scored her the role.
